In our modern production facility, individual components are produced and assembled on an order specific basis. The necessary parts are formed using dedicated machine tools operated by specialist suppliers. IT systems coordinate the production process, ensuring that all components are completed and are ready for prompt dispatch/site installation.

The design and manufacturing process ensures that all our shutters undergo intensive durability and safety testing and that they meet the requirements of EN 13241-1.

CHOICE OF OPERATION

Manual or electrical options

  • Manual operation by means of a continuous galvanised haul chain, through single or double reduction gearing. A safety brake is fitted to the non-drive end of the barrel assembly to prevent uncontrolled dropping of the shutter curtain.
  • Electrical operation by means of a high-quality single-phase tubular motor and gearbox fitted within the barrel assembly. An emergency manual hand crank over-ride is provided (shutter side of opening only) as standard to allow operation of the door in case of power failure. A safety brake is fitted to the non-drive end of the barrel assembly to prevent uncontrolled dropping of the shutter curtain.
