Our fire shutters are designed to provide high levels of fire resistance, ensuring compliance with safety regulations. These fire-resistant roller shutters are ideal for industrial and commercial applications.
Arrow offers a bespoke range of highly versatile and durable fire shutters that can be made to fit any commercial or industrial building, no matter the size or shape of the opening you require.
These fire shutters are built with fire-resistant materials and designed to meet strict fire safety regulations. They are ideal for fire-rated installations where safety is paramount.
Our range of Fire Shutter systems will help prevent the spread of a fire and contain the hazard until the authorities arrive. They can also seal rooms from one another to prevent the fire spreading into a stock room or showrooms.
These fire shutters come with a robust roller shutter fire control panel, allowing for quick and efficient operation in case of an emergency.
Each shutter design has been thoroughly tested and inspected by Warringtonfire, an accredited independent testing group, enabling us to issue Declaration of Performance.
Our Fire Shutters are certified to provide up to 4 hours protection from fire. Performance characteristics are according to harmonised standards BS EN 16034:2014 & BS EN 13241-1:2003, giving our customers peace of mind that the fire shutter systems we manufacture are of the highest quality and are fully compliant with the latest British and European standards.
All our roller shutter systems are subject to continuous product development, so the door user can be assured of both proven and state-of-the-art technology whilst maintaining ease of installation.
Our Fire Rated Roller Shutters are highly versatile and durable products with optimal fire-resistant properties. They are designed for environments where there is need for a physical security deterrent and protection from fire. Our range consists of ArrowGuard Fire Shutter (240v Tube Motor) and Fire Shutter (240v or 415v Fire Door Drive).
These products are available galvanised with mild steel components finished in one coat of primer as standard, or can be powder coated to RAL or BS colour at an extra cost. The option is also available for a fire door interface panel which provides an audio and visual warning when the door is too close. A repeater panel is available for the opposite side of the opening.
Unique features within the design make it the ideal choice for applications which require a neat and unobtrusive shutter system, such as schools, hospitals, and commercial premises.
In the event of a fire, an interface relay panel, which is connected to the fire alarm, enables the actuation of a powered controlled descent of the shutter by a 240v AC tubular motor. An uninterruptable power supply (UPS) / battery backup unit is utilised to ensure that when the fire alarm is activated, the shutter will close even if there is a mains power failure. A push button station or key switch provides normal, everyday operation. The shutter utilises a curtain assembled from sections of 55mm flat lath which allows for a more compact box, reducing the head space requirement above the opening, and making it more aesthetically pleasing.
The shutter, which utilises an inboard mounted 1ph~240v or 3ph~415v fire door operator, is suitable for openings of up to 7000mm x 7000mm, the maximum certifiable dimensions for a fire rated shutter. A standard feature within the design is an anti-fall device (safety brake) at the non-drive end of the barrel, which will prevent the door from dropping suddenly in the unlikely event of a mechanical or electrical failure. The robust design makes it the ideal choice for applications which require a neat and unobtrusive shutter system, such as schools, hospitals and commercial premises.
Upon receipt of a fire signal, the door will automatically perform a close cycle. The door’s closure is actuated by the fire alarm, which is connected to the motor mounted, auto-reset solenoid, which releases the brake on the gearbox, allowing for a controlled descent of the shutter under gravity. Alternatively, the door can be interfaced with a fire control panel (at extra cost) which will drive the door down under a powered closure. In the event of a mains power failure or when the fire alarm is unable to produce the required 24v DC power signal, the battery backup system within the control panel will be utilised to energise the auto-reset solenoid, ensuring the door will close, under gravity. A push button station, with Open / Stop /Close buttons, provides normal, everyday operation.
Our fire-resistant roller shutters are suitable for a variety of applications, offering durability and fire safety in industrial and commercial environments. See how they’ve been used by our clients to date.
