Saint Gobain Dock Levellers

Working on this £3.9m project required the very best #ArrowExperience we could deliver. In a unique turn of events, we had to work with both the architect and the inhouse design team from the client, such was the scrutiny this project demanded.

Keeping both the architect, the engineer and the client constantly updated was key to providing a smooth project and so from the initial drawings, we hosted regular client meetings that made sure all concerned parties were up to speed with progress.

This project was carried out as part of the construction of a 62k sqft warehouse unit which also incorporated a two storey office and the Saint Gobain centre of excellence. Thanks to our technical response team, our product solution was signed off and work began on this exciting project.

Arrow were chosen to deliver the complete external door and docking package. Thanks to our performance, we also won the contract to install some internal steel door sets as well as some other safety features like the traffic and loading lights system.

This facility runs on efficiency and our dock levellers provided a fast but safe gateway for the loading bays. Over a two week period, we installed three fantastic dock levellers as well as 6 sectional doors. The sectional doors allowed for fast opening and thanks to the part glazed elements, they also allowed light into the warehouse giving the facility a more open and airy feel.

The addition of traffic and loading lights provided a safe environment for delivery trucks and staff to carry out their daily and busy duties.

Our customer was delighted with the end result and specifically our attention to detail, our ability to work in a very crowded environment and of course, to deliver on time a first time solution.
