From spiral doors, to insulated shutters, this heavily design led project was a pleasure to see come to fruition.
Arrow Industrial was delighted to be commissioned to work on the development of the Woodsmith Mine in Whitby.
The new mine included a tunnel system to transport it to a material handling facility and harbour at Teesside. The site was set to be the world’s largest and highest-grade deposit of polyhalite and was expected to produce 20 million tonnes of polyhalite, potash and POLY4 per year, to be used in fertiliser.
Arrow Industrial was selected to deliver the industrial door package due to our ability to design, manufacture and install bespoke large-scale roller shutters. A number of the shutters spanned 9000mm x 6500mm and as you can imagine, were no small accomplishment.
However, our industry knowledge and experience allowed us to work at these sizes within our regular working practices.
