From spiral doors, to insulated shutters, this heavily design led project was a pleasure to see come to fruition.
Arrow Industrial was delighted to work on this important project for Waitrose. The Aylesford regional distribution centre is set over 40 acres of land just off the M20 in Kent and incorporates food warehousing as well as a transport department and vehicle workshop It operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week to provide Waitrose customers with high-quality produce.
The scope was to remove all the existing failed barriers and replace with new, including traffic lights, security office push buttons, laser scanner detection and safety equipment, with remote control functionality.
Arrow opted for FAAC 680S barriers complete with security skirts as they are renowned for their robustness and durability in high usage and demanding locations.
Arrow delivered the project whilst the distribution centre was fully operational with the team working around more than 600 vehicle movements per day.
