Arrow Industrial worked with Parkway Construction and DLA Architecture on this prestigious £7.2 million project.
The development comprised of the construction of a 100,000sqft headquarters and production facility for IM Kelly Holdings, complete with 1st floor offices, warehousing research and development areas and production space.
The scheme included Secure by Design principles and environmental improvements including a comprehensive diverse native landscape planting scheme, bird boxes, bat boxes, log piles and lacewing habitat.
Arrow Industrial worked with Parkway and DLA to develop a tailor-made package of doors and shutters for IM Kelly’s facility.
During initial conversations it became clear the client was looking for an industrial door solution designed to keep heat in the building and provide security to high usage openings in line with Secure by Design principles.
The Arrow team quickly identified that high speed doors were the best solution for the scheme in order to meet the brief. The heavy duty fold up doors are perfect for large external applications in settings such as this. They were installed complete with optical light curtain to comply to EN12445 and lifting belts equipped with steel tubes to increase wind resistance.
Due to the nature of IM Kelly’s operations fire shutters were also required in strategic positions within the warehouse, these were also provided by Arrow Industrial.
