Arrow Industrial was chosen to work with Caddick Construction and DLA Architecture to design manufacture and install 92 steel doors at Headingley Stadium.
Prior to the manufacturing process, design meetings took place with the main contractor, architect and customer to review the specific requirements of the brief. Due to the scale of the project, it was imperative to ensure that each door set was designed correctly for each location and to take into consideration any special ironmongery arrangements.
Another key requirement was that the doors needed to be durable and meet building regulations around thermal and fire ratings as well as ensure safety for the stadium’s staff and the public.
The logistics of the delivery and programme were also important factors, as this continued to be a fully operational stadium, we had to coordinate our installation whilst Rugby, County and Test Cricket continued to be played.
