What are Arrowrated Fire Doors ?
Arrowrated Fire Doors provide a range of fire performances from 30 minutes up to 4 hours in accordance with BS476 Part 22.As well as offering reliable fire-resistance, Arrowrated Fire Doors are hygienically finished, easily cleaned, robust and suitable for all types of aperture. The range includes single and twin doors suitable for internal and external use.
Arrowrated Fire Doors are constructed from a Zintec steel skin and cellular honeycomb core which are fully bonded and combined with locked seam joints to the vertical edges. This ensures a product of unequalled strength over all its competitors.
Heavy-duty locks and handles can be provided where high security is a must.
Arrowrated Fire Doors zinc coated steel frames are unique in design. Unlike standard mitred-corner joints, the tight butt-joint can accommodate site dimensional variations. The frames are supplied in a knock-down form for easy transportation and are powder-coated to your specification.
Within the Arrowrated Fire Door range is our unique 'double action' doorset, which allows the door to travel through 180° degrees yet still provides a 2-hour fire resistance.
A choice of vision panels or intumescent louvres are available.
Construction details of the Arrowrated Fire Doors
- Doorblades are constructed from a Zintec, galvanised steel skin, fully bonded to a cellular honeycomb core to an overall thickness of 50mm
- A vertical sill with a lip or surface mount for sealing purposes
- Frames are constructed from 1.6mm zinc coated steel with polypropylene distortion fit wedges for easy installation (see diagram above)
- Stainless steel butt-hinges allow adjustments up to +/- 2mm in all directions
- Optional stainless steel kickplates and security hinges are available
- Vision panels and louvres incorporate a 16 gauge framework and are fully welded externally
- Polyester powder-coating is the standard finish and is available in any BS or RAL colour choice
